AMERICAN AIRLINES CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF SERVICE TO ST. MAARTEN
American Airlines on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 celebrated 30 years of service to The Princess Juliana International Airport. The airline currently operates nonstop service to St. Maarten from Miami International Airport (MIA), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and San Juan Luis Mu?z Marin International Airport (SJU).

“This is a significant and exciting milestone for American,” said Bennett Bell, American’s Country Manager in St. Maarten. “We look forward to continuing to provide service to and from St. Maarten for many years to come.”

American launched service to St. Maarten 30 years ago today and currently offers two daily flights to St. Maarten from Miami and one daily flight from New York’s JFK. American’s regional affiliate, American Eagle, provides one daily flight from San Juan to St. Maarten during the weekdays (Monday through Friday) and two daily flights on Saturdays and Sundays.

American and American Eagle have a strong history of service in the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America. American’s network offers customers 27 destinations throughout Latin America – more than any other U.S. airline – and 23 destinations throughout the Caribbean.

PJIAE extends congratulations to the Airline on its 30th anniversary. “We look forward to a continuance of our long lasting relationship with American Airlines,” said PJIAE President drs. Eugene Holiday.
