Animated driving situation

The Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) is being upgraded to secure St. Maarten´s future as a tourism destination. No modern economy can function well without a safe, secure, efficient and effective aviation industry.
PJIA´s upgrade shows that St. Maarten is cognizant of this reality.

However, the development at our gateway comes with some hurdles. We urge you to take note of the following traffic changes that will take effect soon.

The Airport Road will be rerouted, leading motorists around the construction-site. Leading from east to west, the road starts opposite the WINAIR headquarters and ends opposite the Menzies Aviation offices.

Take note of the divider opposite the Winair Headquarters; filter into the appropriate lane – toward the airport parking lot or toward the Maho area.

When visiting the airport, enter the parking lot through the dedicated entrance about 100 meters from the divider opposite the Winair Headquarters.

This dedicated entrance will lead past the construction site office, past the personnel parking lot, over part of the current road, past the current departures building, onto the parking lot.

When exiting the parking lot go through the existing exit, then onto part of the current road and then back onto the new road.

As we head with accelerated speed En Route to New Horizons, PJIAE is looking forward to serving you in and with our new infrastructure.
